Embassy Legalisation and Embassy Endorsement

LEGALISATION & ENDORSEMENT PROCEDURE

Performed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Putrajaya (Wisma Putra) and at the respective Embassy/Foreign Mission)

The following procedure is practiced and applies to most major foreign Embassies’ requirements, as original Malaysian certificates (e.g. Marriage Cert., Birth Cert., Death Cert. Statement of Marital status, etc.) require prior LEGALISATION by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Putrajaya (Wisma Putra) and by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sabah/Sarawak for certificates issued in East-Malaysia and by the respective Foreign Embassy thereupon. Any translation for submission destined for official purposes must be officially ENDORSED/CERTIFIED by the respective Embassy.

1) Please legalize your original local Malaysian certificates such as Marriage Cert., Birth Cert., and Death Cert., etc. that you wish to have translated at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Putrajaya (Wisma Putra).

Note: Legalisation is NOT required for educational documents/certificates.

2) Email or hand us your legalized documents for translation (if the legalization stamp of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs appears on the back, please scan & email the back of the certificate too as the stamp has to be translated as well).

3) After completion of translation, we can endorse/certify the translation for you at the respective Foreign Embassy if required and/or applicable.
